GMS beweert dat ze met hun nieuwe reeks Revolution de drumwereld gaan veranderen. De reeks heeft een dunne coating (1/32") van echt metaal op de maple shells. Je kan kiezen uit brons, brass, koper, staal en nikkel. Je kan kiezen om de coating aan de binnenkant, buitenkant of allebei te hebben. Je kan dus bvb. nikkel binnenin, dan een maple shell en dan brons langs buiten hebben.

If you have a brass lined drum, you'll get that brass sound, but the mass of the maple gives the drum a lot of "thickness", unobtainable in a metal-only drum.
